Care Instructions for Kwila Products

1. Kwila is a tropical hardwood and is highly rated for its durability, superb colour and its beautifully textured natural wood grain, making it the most suitable timber for manufacturing of outdoor furniture.
2. When weathered, it will turn a silvery/grey colour and minor natural splitting and cracks will occur. This will not affect the durability of the furniture.
3. To further enhance the timber and to preserve the natural wood colour, it is recommended that the furniture be oiled before use.

Kwila does contain a high content of sap / resin in the wood and this will naturally bleed out when wet.

To accelerate bleeding and to avoid staining of floor surfaces, hose the furniture down on grass area thoroughly and allow to dry. You may need to repeat this process several times until the bleeding has been completed.

We recommend using warm soapie water and a scrubbing brush should any staining of floor surfaces occur. Please note that the furniture should not be used until completely dry, as damp timber could cause clothing to stain if the bleeding process is not complete.
